The Rossignol Transport company was born in 1972 when its founder Donald Rossignol, purchased a first truck. With his brother Oneil which will also act as driver, they proceed to cutting of the timber from their land to carry it to a mill in Lincoln Maine.
In 1974 he aquires a second truck and gets a contract with Midland Transport.
Then in 1976, two trucks will be added to its fleet and he gets a contract with Speedway Transport.
Rossignol Transport's high service quality ensured that in 1979, following a new contract with Jumbo Motor Express, the purchase of three additional trucks was required.
With the growing demand in the trucking industry, the company takes a significant turn in 1988 when Donald Rossignol made the purchase of a terminal and four additional trucks. Rossignol Transport fleet will then be composed of 11 trucks.
However, the company's expansion does not stop there. The transport industry thrives remarkably fast and obviously Rossignol Transport must keep it's pace. Thus in 2000 the company will make another decisive turn when Donald made the purchase of 11 additinnal trucks. That year, Rossignol Transport's freight will be composed of 55 trucks.
Always eager to respond to the industry's growing demand, Donald Rossignol develops partnership with imposing transportation companies including Armour Transportation, Transport Guilbault and Universal Transit. Today Rossignol Transport fleet includes more than 100 trucks, more than 200 trailers and employs over 125 employees. The company transit throughout the North America road network and serves an impressive list of major customers.
